Meet Dr. Rios
A favorite quote of mine is, "Life is lost in dreaming, dreaming is lost in becoming." Becoming a dentist has been a realization of a childhood dream. Luckily, my first dental experience was very positive. The office was fun and everyone was extremely friendly before, during, and after care. I couldn't wait to come back. It is this environment that we have re-created at Cypress Point Family Dentistry.
The essential elements to creating that experience I have found to be a genuinely warm caring team adept a building and maintaining strong trusting relationships. The latest technology makes our clinical tasks more efficient, but it's the relationships that make the work not seem like work at all. Today's emergence of corporate dentistry and managed care is a threat to this essential element to a long lasting patient/doctor relationship, but we will not compromise.
Fear and anxiety have kept many adults from receiving the dental care they need. We take the time to listen to each patient's unique needs and concerns to determine the best treatment approach including sedation options. Being able to help someone overcome their dental fears in order to help them achieve the smile of their dreams brings ultimate satisfaction to our team. There is nothing like watching lives being transformed as we restore the confidence in one's smile. We use modern technology to achieve this comfortably, predictably, and affordably.
I was born in New Jersey to a Cuban father and an Argentine mother who provided a strong emphasis on family values, morals, and education. I attended Catholic grade school from 1st grade to finishing high school in Jacksonville's Bishop Kenny High. From there I moved down to Gainesville to earn my Bachelor of Science in Zoology at the University of Florida. I returned to U.F. College of Dentistry and earned a Doctorate in Medical Dentistry in 1999. Upon graduating I have continued to seek training in advanced cosmetic and surgical procedures including implant dentistry and orthodontics. I will actively continue to seek further training to continue to advance our journey in creating the ultimate dental experience and results for our guests. As a true professional you should never be finished with learning.

My supportive family has been essential in allowing me to pursue this quest. My parents have been instrumental in supporting my journey at fine educational institutions and keeping my values and focus intact. I wouldn't be writing this now without that. My current cheerleader and supporter in maintaining and continuing further pursuits and creating a family is my loving wife Emily. We have been blessed with two health bouncing boys, Anthony and Henry. When not in the office creating smiles they create my smiles. I love everything outdoors including running, hiking, beach volleyball, and ultimate Frisbee. I also love to travel at every opportunity. Our family are active members of Holy Family Catholic Church.
