Meet Dr. Rios

At the age of seven, Franklin Manuel Rios had the vision of becoming a dentist due to his positive first experience as a patient. Twenty years later he became a dentist as he graduated from the University of Florida’s prestigious College of Dentistry. Prior to entering dental school, Dr. Rios visited with many local dentists to better envision the class of dentist he wished to become. This process confirmed his passion to become a dentist as the message was Jacksonville needed another quality dentist. After graduating as a dentist in 1999, Dr. Rios spent 5 years practicing with other dentists in Palm Coast and St. Augustine before returning to Jacksonville. In 2004, Cypress Point Family Dentistry was created with the mission to build a patient friendly, fun, family and cosmetic dental practice in the heart of Jacksonville.

Dr. Rios graduated from Bishop Kenny High School in Jacksonville, FL. He is a volunteer dentist at the Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless in downtown Jacksonville. He is fluent in Spanish. He enjoys traveling, running, beach volleyball, meeting new people, and watching Gator sports. He believes fitness and faith is the key to a balanced life. He takes over 30 hours of continuing education per year to stay on top of the ever changing profession while developing his passion for being a dentist. His attention to detail and craftsmanship coupled with continuing education are the key to the beautiful smiles he creates. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Jacksonville Dental Society.
